ASS Safety ring Cardan ZF /Getrag

PTO shaft circlip designed to be easily fitted to our gearbox beams for BMW ZF and Getrag gearboxes.

Snap ring for cardan shaft which is manufactured in parts for easy assembly. The opening of the ring is approx. 67mm. It can be mounted on a larger cardan shaft, but then you have to thread it from the end.

• The ring is 50x5mm sheet steel S355 and electro-galvanized matt black like the rest of the mount.
• The diameter is approx. 110mm outside and 100mm inside.
• Incl. screw for mounting.
• Fits bolt on the ASS gearbox beams for BMW ZF and Getrag gearboxes.

Cardan ring is from 2017 an SBF requirement for all Pro-Int cars within Swedish Drifting.

For the Volvo 740 /940, it only fits wiht the ASS Gearbox beam BMW ZF 6vxl Volvo 740/940 (new gereration) (not the old version) and also for ASS Gearbox mount BMW ZF 5vxl Volvo 240.

For the Volvo 240, it does not fit the oldest beams which are made in 2 parts and which are screwed together in the middle. Then there are beams that have been sold that lack the attachment holes for the safety ring, but then you can easily hold the attachment, mark the holes and drill yourself. All gearbox beams sold for 240 and 740 /940 today are made to fit.

Other names for this safety ring can be snap ring, gimbal ring and drive shaft safety loop.
