Night mode

A very fine feature of the Innovate Wideband compared to the other brands is that a signal wire can be connected to the car’s lights. This causes the screen to automatically adjust its brightness as soon as the car’s lights are turned on.

A must to properly tune the car

If you have ordered a freely programmable ECU like the ME221 or ME442 from us then the Innovate Wideband is a very nice addition. This is because it is needed to constantly see if the mixture of air and fuel is properly adjusted during engine tuning. The original sensor is often a so-called narrowband sensor which gives the ECU very limited information; it is almost comparable to an on-off switch. The mixture according to this sensor is poor, stoich or rich and pretty much nothing in between. With a wideband sensor such as the one supplied with the Innovate wideband, this information can be read in detail.

Also suitable for adjusting vintage cars with carburetors

If you own a vintage car equipped with a carburetor, then the Innovate Wideband can help in this situation as well. The wideband air fuel gauge allows you to adjust the carburetor yourself without looking at the spark plugs. Simply screw the sensor into the exhaust, mount the gauge in the desired location and watch in real time what the adjustments to the carburetor do on the air/fuel mixture.
