Volvo’s best RWD gearbox is, of course, the M90; it can handle more power, shifts better and is readily available. A commonly chosen upgrade on Volvo 240s with a larger turbo or simply more power.

When upgrading the Volvo 240 M47 gearbox to a Volvo M90 gearbox, the original M47 driveshaft will be too short.

This difference in length is easily accommodated with our CNC Aluminum milled propeller shaft spacer. The spacer is suitable to be used in conjunction with our M47 to M90 gearbox support.
