Why add fittings to your valve cover? Performance engines, especially turbocharged and built-up applications, tend to cause a pressure build-up in the crankcase due to combustion pressure passing the piston rings. Factory PCV systems are there to help combat this problem, but often cannot keep up with the increased flow of high-power motors. It gets worse because factory PCV systems return burned combustion gases through the intake manifold, leading to power-robbing deposits and reduced octane ratings. Adding fittings to the engine cover allows significantly more pressure to be dissipated, benefiting both you and your engine.
