What makes these pistons truly unique is Wiseco’s innovative Armor plating. This high-quality coating is applied to the piston crown, piston grooves and piston pin bore. This protective layer protects against damage caused by detonation and over time, due to the heat of combustion, becomes even harder. This coating not only helps prevent micro welding of the piston ring, but also improves piston groove wear and sealing ability of the ring. Inside the piston pin bore, the coating reduces wear, reduces friction and prevents deformation of the locking groove.
