This Volvo 740 940 upgrade intercooler is the best plug and play intercooler on the market!

As standard the Volvo 740 and 940 already has a fairly substantial intercooler you would think however, there is still a lot to be gained in the core (the actual cooling part). The do88 intercooler for the 740 and 940 has a core that is 65% larger than the original! Even better, this intercooler is plug and play so you don’t have to convert half the car.

Full aluminum

This do88 intercooler for the Volvo 740 and 940 is made entirely of aluminum which ensures that it can handle very high turbo pressure. The original intercooler has only an aluminum core and plastic end tanks, this as you might imagine has a much greater chance of cracking.

Inlet temperature up to 21 degrees celcius cooler!

Getting the intake temperature down is the main function of an intercooler. This is to ensure that the combustion is as efficient as possible and the Volvo B230 engine can deliver maximum power.

To compare the efficiency of the original and do88 intercoolers, a test was done which showed that the do88 intercooler cooled the air 21 degrees more!
