EBC Yellowstuff 1793 compound is a real winner all round, high friction in cold brake pads, it requires no warm up for street use when they really get hot they just brake better.
EBC yellow is ECE approved for brake safety, which means they should work perfectly when cold, at least as well or better than standard brake pads.

When Yellowstuff sees some heat (which is not tested in the ECE R 90 brake safety regulations) they really show their pedigree. On Japanese cars built with lower friction FF nominal brake pads these deliver a full slope higher braking force and on German cars built with GG these are about the only aftermarket brake pads that will match or beat the pretty good German OE specification pads and that takes some doing.
