Custom transmission bracket for 740/940, fits many automatic and manual transmissions from GM, e.g. 4L60, T56-T5 along with LS engine and our engine mounts(AS-001020-01). The beam has multiple mounting holes on the body and on the transmission mount/rubber bushing, giving it very many longitudinal mounting options. Strong and slim design. Depending on the gearbox you choose, you may need to tap and possibly make some cutouts in the tunnel of the gearbox. However, the bar does not fit the large 4L80 gearbox. The mounting of that gearbox is too far back and you will have to cut a lot out of the tunnel to mount it. The bar is made to fit the standard gearbox support/shifter rubber shown in the manual as an example. The dimensions of the gearbox rubber should be about 46mm high and the c-c threaded holes about 38mm. Check the height of your gearbox between the center of the output shaft and the bottom of the rubber bushing. It should be about 116 mm for good height with this beam. They are made of 4 mm high strength steel plate and are zinc-iron chromated and black passivated. A kit consists of: bracket incl. all screws required for mounting in beam and body.
