More about Tie Rods

Tie rods connect the steering rack to the steering knuckles and partly determine the toe-in or toe-out of the wheels. You will quickly notice play in them by vague or knocking steering behavior.

Pay attention to length, thread, inner and outer parts, and whether extra steering angle or adjustment range is needed. After replacement, the car must always be realigned.

In drifting and track use, tie rods take more abuse than in normal street use.
