A driveshaft transmits power from the gearbox to the differential. For swaps, different gearboxes, or modified rear axles, the correct length and flange combination are important.

Pay attention to length, universal joints, balance, flanges, and clearance around the exhaust or tunnel. A poorly fitting or unbalanced driveshaft can cause vibrations and wear.

For higher power outputs, strength is important, but proper alignment remains at least as crucial.
