More about Oil Pans

An oil pan stores engine oil and helps determine how well the oil remains around the oil pickup tube during braking, cornering, and acceleration.

For lowered cars, swaps, or track use, capacity, shape, baffles, and ground clearance are important. A modified oil pan may be needed for clearance or better oil control.

When installing, always check the gasket surface, oil pickup, and ensure the pan does not rub against the subframe or steering components.
