More about Short Shifters

A short shifter reduces the shift travel and often gives a more direct feel to the lever. Especially with sporty driving, this makes shifting faster and clearer.

Pay attention to the fit in the gearbox, lever height, bearing, and how much additional noise or vibration is transmitted. Not every short shifter feels the same; some are primarily shorter, others are also much tighter.

When installing, immediately check the condition of the bushings and rubbers around the shifting mechanism.
