Intake gaskets prevent false air between the cylinder head, intake manifold, and throttle body. A leak can cause rough idling or lean mixtures.

Pay attention to the engine type, port shape, and whether extra gaskets are needed for the throttle body or EGR parts. When installing, the gasket surface must be clean and flat.

After working on the intake, it's wise to thoroughly check for vacuum leaks.
