Think of pumps, injectors, rails, pressure regulators, lines, and fittings. The components must work together; a powerful pump is of little use if injectors, wiring, or pressure regulation are inadequate.

For turbo, supercharger, ethanol, or track use, it is advisable to view the fuel setup as a complete system.
