Introduction
LucaCarMods is a webshop and workshop for Mazda MX-5, BMW and rear-wheel drive Volvos, such as the Volvo 240, 740 and 940. Since 2017, we have been supplying and developing parts for enthusiasts who want to maintain, improve or convert their cars.
Our product range consists of OEM parts, tuning parts, suspension upgrades, swap parts, repair body panels, and our own developed products. We work with parts from, among other countries, Japan, the United States, Sweden, Poland and the Netherlands, so that we can offer a wide and specialized range for both standard maintenance and complete project cars.
Developed from practical experience
LucaCarMods originated from practical experience: tinkering with our own project cars, participating in drift events, and searching for better solutions for parts that were difficult to obtain or could be improved.
This practical approach is still important. Products are developed, tested, and improved based on our own experience, customer requests, and workshop projects. Using 3D scanning, CAD, and modern production techniques, among others, we create parts that fit well and work effectively in practice.
Examples include our lift kits, 1UZ-swap parts like the short oil filter housing, and various repair body panels for the MX-5. Development, laser cutting, and bending are done as much as possible locally in the Netherlands. Specialized CNC milling is carried out by long-term production partners.
Webshop and workshop
In addition to the webshop, we have our own workshop. There, we work on MX-5s and Volvos, test products, and perform repairs and restoration work, among other things.
When it comes to rust repair, the focus is on sustainable repairs rather than quick fixes. We have already helped more than 100 rusty MX-5s get back on the road safely.
This workshop experience helps us in curating our product range and providing tailored advice. It means we not only know what fits on paper but also what works in practice.
