A downpipe is located directly after the turbo and greatly influences exhaust flow, back pressure, and turbo response. For turbo engines, this is often one of the first parts to be considered.

Pay attention to diameter, catalytic converter, flange, lambda sensor positions, and connection to the rest of the exhaust. A larger downpipe works best when the rest of the system also has sufficient flow.
