More about Throttle Bodies

The throttle body determines how much air the engine allows in when you accelerate. A larger or different throttle body is often chosen for modified intakes, engine conversions, or standalone ECUs.

Pay attention to diameter, operation, idle control, sensors, and the connection to the intake manifold. Choosing one that's too large isn't always better; throttle response and tuning must also be correct.

For drive-by-wire systems, electronic compatibility is an additional factor.
