Volvo's best RWD gearbox is, of course, the M90; it can handle more power, shifts better, and is readily available. A frequently chosen upgrade for Volvo 240s with a larger turbo or simply more power.

When upgrading the Volvo 240 M47 gearbox to a Volvo M90 gearbox, the original M47 driveshaft will be too short.

This difference in length can be easily compensated for with our CNC Aluminum machined driveshaft spacer. The spacer is suitable for use in combination with our M47 to M90 gearbox mount.
