The MX5 NA EBC Turbo Grooved Brake Disc features drilled holes and slots. These holes allow gases to escape more quickly during heavy braking than with a conventional brake disc, such as the one standard on the Mazda MX-5. The slots in the EBC Turbo Grooved brake disc improve cooling of both the brake disc and the brake pads.

If you experience glazing/fading during hard braking or simply want better braking performance, the EBC Turbo Grooved brake disc will definitely offer a solution. We recommend using this brake disc in combination with one of the brake pads from the EBC series. The Ultimax series replaces the standard brake pads; if you really want more bite, choose Yellowstuff or Redstuff brake pads.
