Custom oil filter housings and adapters are used when the original filter housing is no longer convenient. This can happen with engine swaps, turbo builds, or additional oil cooling.

Pay attention to thread, flow, sensor ports, sealing, and clearance around the manifold or subframe. An incorrectly placed adapter can make installation easier, but maintenance more difficult.
