36-2 Trigger Wheel Mazda MX-5 NA NB

Later 1.8 engines (NB1/NB2) come with both a crank and cam angle sensor. This is used to give the most accurate position of the engine at all points, however, the stock setup comes with a 4 tooth trigger wheel - which, whilst performing very well in an OEM capacity, when using aftermarket ECUs doesn't always perform as well.

With a 36-2 wheel, we have an even finer control over the engine and information of its position. This allows the car to start quicker, react quicker to load changes and have much better timing control and resolution at all RPMs. With VVT engines running this type of wheel, a much finer control over the VVT solenoid and its position is possible.

A highly recommended upgrade for any forced induction car.

Compatible with LNC 1.6 engines and all 1.8 engines with all Megasquirt ECUs and Motorsport Electronics ME221/442 Gen2 ECUs. When installing, the missing teeth need to be orientated to the left of TDC (counter-clockwise from TDC).

Direct bolt-on upgrade for stock harmonic dampers currently equipped with a 4 tooth trigger wheel and Fluidampr's. Not compatible with ATI SuperDampers.
