Crankcase ventilation adapter Volvo B230

Crankcase adapter for converting to an external oil trap / oil catch tank. A direct replacement for the original oil trap when you have an external oil trap. Fits with original gaskets and has perfect clearance against the pump shaft, which is important.

With this adapter, the crankcase pressure is kept at normal levels despite high power outputs where blow-by occurs at the piston rings. It also allows the turbocharger oil return to drain properly, thereby extending the life of the turbo. The engine is allowed to work without back pressure and saves the O-ring gaskets that otherwise fail due to high crankcase pressure/pressure pulses.

This adapter is designed to be mounted directly on the engine block with original gaskets without modification or other adjustments. Simply attach a crankcase / oil catch tank to the crankcase adapter to collect the oil mist that is being ventilated.
