With the PMU-16, old-fashioned fuses and relays are a thing of the past! The PMU-16 provides the complete power supply for various components such as lighting, windshield wipers, engine parts, fans, and pumps. Up to 16 power outputs can be programmed with the ECUMaster PMU 16. Thanks to no fewer than 16 inputs for sensors and switches, various scenarios can be programmed in the software to control the power outputs.
Example:
Input: coolant temperature sensor
Output: cooling fan
In this setup, the PMU16 receives an analog (0-5V) signal from which the engine temperature (coolant) can be read. In the ECUMaster software, it can be set that, for example, when the coolant temperature reaches 85 degrees Celsius, the cooling fan should switch on. It can also be set that in the event of a defective sensor, there is a "fail-safe" so that the cooling fan also switches on if there is an abnormal signal.
Besides the endless possibilities for programming various scenarios, another major advantage is that only 1 cable goes from the PMU16 to the cooling fan, and no relays are needed.
The PMU16 can be easily expanded with keypads and a display as a digital dashboard via CAN.
