Mazda MX-5 1.6 TD04 EVO2 Cast Manifold

G19's excellent TD04 Manifold for the 1.6 Mk1, Mk2 and Mk2.5 (1989-2005) Mazda MX-5. It suits the TD04/05 turbocharger units, and is CFD designed to give optimal flow, exceeding that of inferior log type manifolds. It also carries a 12-month warranty against defects or cracking.

This part forms part of our complete turbo-conversion packages. This includes model specific down-pipes and gasket sets.

The manifold is cast from a high tensile strength austenitic steel. The alloy used has excellent heat resistance and low levels of oxidisation at high temperatures. It was common in the past to cast manifolds in iron based alloys. The most popular of these only have working temperatures of 650 C so are not suitable for a modern turbo install. Even the best cast irons are limited to about 800 C. The material chosen is used by vehicle manufacturers in their high end performance turbo vehicles that produce high exhaust gas temperatures. It has a working temperature of 1050 C.
