The standard engine mounts are made of soft rubber that is likely soft and cracked if the original mounts are still installed. The extra movement in the mounts can result in reduced throttle response and less precise shifting, as the drivetrain twists and absorbs torque.

These mounts cause significantly less NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) than a polyurethane engine mount while still offering the same level of stiffness.
