RacingDiffs Progressive LSD Conversion Set Mazda MX-5 NA NB

RacingDiffs’ Progressive LSD Conversion Set turns any standard 1.8 open diff for the Mazda MX-5 NA NB into a clutch-type limited slip differential with 25% lock. With this kit one-wheel-peels, botched launches and weak turn-in are a thing of the past. This insert acts like a true-clutch style limited slip differential at a fraction of the cost.

The Progressive LSD conversion sets are designed for fast-road and track-day use. The friction washers are made from heat-treated Molybdenum-Ceramic coated tool steel to provide excellent friction coefficient whilst preventing metal shards from reducing the longevity of the diff. Each insert features a unique progressive ramp angle that increases the locking effect of the diff when subjected to increased load.

RacingDiffs have been manufacturing LSD conversion sets since 2017 starting with E46 BMWs. Since then they’ve designed conversion sets for over 100 models including LSD friction plates for Subaru, Lamborghini, Ferrari, and many more.

Please note
To install this conversion set the differential must be disassembled and the distance measured between the main gears machined down to 29.5mm which is best done on a surface grinder. The ends of the driveshafts must also be machined down by 4mm on a lathe to prevent interference with the conversion set. We highly recommend this work is done at a reputable machine shop.
