Volvo 240 LSx - Vortec - LM7 - LQ4 V8 Engine Mounts

Engine mounts for GM's popular LSx engines in the Volvo 200 series.
Fits Chevrolet small block Gen 3 and Gen 4.

Very stable engine mounts with double bushings per side as these engines can handle very high torque.
The mounts are made with multiple holes lengthwise to easily adjust how close the engine comes to the firewall/front beam, and you can still easily remove and remount the engine in exactly the same position as before.

You will need a modified oil pan. We have chosen to start with an oil pan sold by Summit Racing, part number SUM-G3610.

This oil pan is very shallow but still has good oil volume.
Because it is so shallow, the engine sits at a good height without the pan extending below the front beam. It is also affordable.

You will need to grind out the subframe to fit the oil pan (see picture), or modify the oil pan or place the engine so far back that you have to remove the transmission tunnel.
We sell a ready-made plate for this (LINK to AS-001019-02). The depth depends on where you place the engine.
The picture shows approximately the deepest you need to cut out.

If you use a truck engine, e.g. LM7, you can only use the tall intake if you do not have a "Flatnose".
Otherwise, you must take the intake from a car with a V8, for example from a Corvette or a custom intake.

The steering column ends at the exhaust ports on the driver's side. If you want to drive without a turbo, you will need narrow headers.
For example, cast headers that are available from a few different manufacturers. When converting to turbo, you usually route the pipes forward, and then it is not a problem.

They are made of 5mm high-strength steel plate and are galvanized and black passivated.
