Shorter Development Time with 3D Printer!

During the development of components for the Volvo 240 1UZ V8 swap kit, it became clear that prototypes made from steel/stainless steel are very time-consuming and costly.

Small production runs are, of course, never favorable in terms of price, but a lead time of several weeks for a prototype that might only be perfect on the third attempt causes significant delays. For this reason, LucaCarMods recently acquired a 3D printer, which offers a solution to this problem.

With the 3D printer, it's possible to print product prototypes in 5-12 hours instead of 2-3 weeks. Changes can therefore be made quickly in a CAD program, and an adjusted design can easily and quickly be printed again. Furthermore, the 3D printing of various items is also a very interesting process to watch. (for the first 10 minutes, after that, it's like watching grass grow...)

Thanks to the acquisition of the 3D printer, I've really gotten into it, and other products for the Volvo 240/740/940 and Mazda MX-5 will follow in the short term.
