Volvo S60 2.5T 2007 3 inch exhaust system
The 2.5T engine is a 5-cylinder Volvo engine that produces the well-known '5-cylinder rumble' during sporty driving. The original Volvo S60 exhaust is quite quiet, so you can't fully enjoy the rumble.
The Volvo S60 2.5T owner's wish was a sporty sound throughout the entire rev range, more engine power, and of course, a beautiful custom exhaust system.
More engine power with 3-inch downpipe and exhaust system
Most petrol Volvo turbo engines respond very positively to a larger downpipe and exhaust system. For example, the Volvo V70 T6 engine; it is known that an upgrade to a 3.5-inch downpipe can increase engine power by as much as 15hp.
A larger downpipe ensures better flow after the turbo, allowing it to spool up faster and harder. By removing the original catalytic converter and fitting the new downpipe with a 200-cell catalytic converter (also known as a race cat), the flow is even better.
We fit almost all custom exhausts with a V-Band coupling instead of a screw flange. The reason for this is that a V-Band coupling is very easy to assemble and also does not require a gasket. This ensures that no leaks occur even after a long time.
Visually appealing exhaust system
The other common wish is that the exhaust system should look much sportier than the original exhaust.

The original exhaust has been replaced by a 3-inch stainless steel exhaust system from the turbo. This ensures a long-lasting, good-looking exhaust.
To give the 5-cylinder rumble more punch, only one Simons 3-inch silencer was chosen. This makes the car sound very sporty, but there is no annoying drone in the car at partial throttle while cruising.
